I have always loved in-home lifestyle sessions. They are popular as newborn sessions, but I love photographing families at all stages of life, playing and snuggling together in their cozy homes. This family in particular holds a special place in my heart. Meg was my midwife (twice!) and it is always such a joy to see her and her beautiful family again. This in-home session was so much fun, and the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. Here are some favourites from their shoot!
When Alison’s lifestyle headshot session fell on a very gloomy, cold, rainy day (with no time to reschedule), we headed to Parkway Garden Centre for some warmth, natural light and an explosion of Spring colour. It was the perfect setting for these branding photos. Here is a handful of favourites!
I loved this fun downtown session! Call the Office is such a meaningful place for Heather and Eric and the story of their relationship, so it was great to incorporate it into their downtown family shoot. They definitely came dressed to match their cool surroundings, and it was such a blast to hang out with them. Heather is a fellow photographer that has been a mentor and dear friend to me, and it’s always an honour when I have the opportunity to help her document her own beautiful family. Danny and Christina had their woodsy engagement session in the early Spring, when buds were just starting to form into leaves, and everything was slowly going from brown to green. I absolutely loved Aimee’s lifestyle headshot session in a downtown London cafe. I first met Aimee when she booked a couple photography mentoring session with me. We hit it off and have since become friends (as have our daughters!) and I was delighted to be able to shoot some headshots for her in an empty corner of a busy downtown London cafe. I loved the light streaming through the window for these photos, here are a few favourites!
I loved meeting Alex and Laura for their downtown Winter engagement session. We checked out some of my favourite downtown photo locations and headed by the water to catch those last rays of warm golden hour light. They brought their adorable pup along with them, which is always a big BONUS in my books! I often get asked if couples and families can bring furry family members along for their session, and the answer is always YES! I adore animals and am a big dog person, so by all means, bring your pet along with you! :) Here are a few favourites from their downtown London engagement session. (PS: It was COLD! We started by exploring the grounds at Western University and eventually made our way to Komoka Provincial Park (Michelle and Rob picked up their adorable pup on the way). It’s that time of year where I come to terms with having fallen off the blogging wagon during busy season and decide to jump back on with new resolve! I’ve got a blogging schedule to get me through the rest of 2018 and 2019 over the next 10 months, so buckle up! ;)
Today I’m looking back on Nicole’s lifestyle headshot session. We started off at Covent Garden Market before heading to the Gibbons Park, capturing both Nicole’s love of laid back market browsing as well as her love of outdoor adventure. Tree Farm Minis open up for booking to the advance notice list tomorrow, which means it’s time to look back on last year’s sessions. I love these festive minis, and as always they will be the last minis of the year! Booking will open up for the public on the booking page on September 16th.
