I’ve always been a huge fan of Winter sessions. The snow makes for such a gorgeous backdrop, not to mention a giant reflector. I absolutely loved Michelle and Rob’s Winter engagement session. We started by exploring the grounds at Western University and eventually made our way to Komoka Provincial Park (Michelle and Rob picked up their adorable pup on the way). Today I’m looking back on Nicole’s lifestyle headshot session. We started off at Covent Garden Market before heading to the Gibbons Park, capturing both Nicole’s love of laid back market browsing as well as her love of outdoor adventure. I happen to love outdoor snowy photos, so I was all in to bundle up and head out the the woods. Here are a few favourites from her session! I loved photographing this gorgeous family. I had the pleasure of documenting Brian and Kristy’s engagement and wedding and meeting their little guy when he was just a baby himself. Now he’s a big brother, and I got to meet his little sister who is every bit as sweet as he is. It was a cold, snowy day, but we managed some lovely field photos before heading to a nearby greenhouse for shelter, warmth, and another beautiful backdrop.
The beautiful Idlewyld Inn is where Jamie and Linda got married and is where they returned to celebrate their 1-year anniversary with some exciting news - There was a baby on the way! I was so honoured when they asked me to capture a few photos of them to mark their 2nd anniversary in the place that has become so special to them, now with baby Emma as part of their family. We started with a few lifestyle images in their room before walking around the snowy grounds and warming by the fire. Here are some favourites! :)

I love engagement sessions because the sky is the limit in terms of where and what. We could be out in the woods, downtown, by the water, doing your favourite activity, you name it. Jen and Blake's engagement session in Goderich awhile back was extra fun because it combined so many of my favourite location ideas - a rustic barn? Check! A charming cafe? Check! A beautiful bridge? Check! Photos on the beach? Check! It was freezing cold, but we didn't let that stop us from checking off all of the amazing locations that Jen and Bake had planned, and we had a blast capturing these two together before their big day.
