Aletta and Marijn's styled engagement session was a dream. Aletta had a beautiful vision for her photos. From a gorgeous airplane and vintage suitcases to a beautiful bicycle and colourful balloons in a blooming apple orchard... every detail was thought out perfectly. The Spring sun was shining and my inspiration and creativity was literally bursting at the seams. I'm so happy to finally be sharing these images here on the blog. Enjoy!
Spring blossom season is just around the corner (hard to believe with the snow and cold we've had lately, I know) and revisiting these colourful photos from last Spring has me so excited for May! Here are a few favourites from Alyssa & Jacob's engagement session in Springbank Park.
I first met Leili and Chris back in 2013 when they travelled to London from Fort Smith, Northwest Territories to visit family. Leili wanted maternity photos while she was here, and it was such a pleasure to document this special time for them. Fast forward to 2017, I was overjoyed to hear from Leili again and make plans to meet her in Toronto during her visit - during cherry blossom season! - and photograph her beautiful family of 4. It rained off and on all day, but the skies cleared just in time for their session in High Park. Even though it was unbelievably packed with tourists and cherry blossom enthusiasts, we managed to find a few quiet spots to enjoy the breathtaking blooms . Their two adorable boys were full of energy and personality, and we had so much fun exploring, playing and laughing through our session.

The beautiful Idlewyld Inn is where Jamie and Linda got married and is where they returned to celebrate their 1-year anniversary with some exciting news - There was a baby on the way! I was so honoured when they asked me to capture a few photos of them to mark their 2nd anniversary in the place that has become so special to them, now with baby Emma as part of their family. I love engagement sessions because the sky is the limit in terms of where and what. We could be out in the woods, downtown, by the water, doing your favourite activity, you name it. Jen and Blake's engagement session in Goderich awhile back was extra fun because it combined so many of my favourite location ideas - a rustic barn? Check! A charming cafe? Check! A beautiful bridge? Check! Photos on the beach? Check! It was freezing cold, but we didn't let that stop us from checking off all of the amazing locations that Jen and Bake had planned, and we had a blast capturing these two together before their big day. I've had the pleasure of photographing the Smith family several times now, and it's been such a joy to get to know their boys over the years and meet their sweet baby girl. Today on the blog I'm sharing some favourites from their first session as a family of 5. We met at a park near their home and had a blast playing and exploring bugs, sticks, and giant hills.
