The first time I’d been inside R & M’s adorable home was on their wedding day, documenting getting ready photos. It was so special to be back, this time to capture photos of their sweet baby boy in all his newborn cuteness. I loved their fun rainbow nursery design, and how their dog was such a big part of the session, always snuggling close by. The best thing about newborn lifestyle sessions is the ease and comfort of being home, and I feel like these photos really captured that cozy at home feeling. I first met Vanessa and Josh when they booked a couple’s mini session. Since then, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of documenting maternity, newborn lifestyle and family sessions for them. When baby has older siblings, newborn lifestyle sessions are a wonderful opportunity to capture their personalities as well. While baby is being fed or changed, I can head into big brother or sister’s room and photograph them in their element, showing me their favourite toys, reading their favourite books. This sweet session provided many opportunities for J’s older sister to introduce me to her favourite things, and I loved documenting her as well as her new baby brother.

I still remember meeting this sweet couple for the very first time. We had such a blast shooting their Western Fair engagement session, and I have such fond memories from their beautiful wedding. Fast forward to Big Brother Oliver’s newborn lifestyle session, and now baby Simon’s, which I am sharing today. I love working with this beautiful family and was so thrilled to be invited into their home to document the arrival of their sweet baby boy, Noah. I had lots of time to hang out with big brother Ciaran, who taught me all about dinosaurs (he legitimately has more dino-related knowledge than I do!). I loved capturing the new family of four just hanging out at home together, in addition to the snuggly photos of baby Noah on his own and with his parents. This session felt like real life, which is always my favourite kind of in-home session. Here are some of my favourites!
