London Ontario Photographer | Sunrise Twirling (Personal Post)

What inevitably ends up happening when you are a photographer is that your personal photos get pushed down the never ending editing queue. I don't usually blog the personal photos I take of my family, but I knew when I took these sunrise photos of my daughter last Summer that I wanted to share them. These images were taken during our annual cottage holiday last Summer, and I told myself I had until the following year's holiday to edit and post them. According to that rule, I am officially out of time. So I took a few minutes to edit some favourites to share here today. Looking forward to another week at this magical spot!

London Ontario Family Photographer | Fall Mini Sessions

We had beautiful weather and gorgeous light for the Fall minis last year and the wild, overgrown grasses with colourful trees in the distance provided such a lovely backdrop. London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Claire & Mike's Oakwood Resort Wedding

Claire and Mike were so much fun to work with. I loved their Springbank Park engagement session (with just enough Star Wars flare to make it totally them) and have such fond memories of their beautiful Oakwood Resort wedding (one of my favourite venues!!). The weather on this day was all.over.the.place. From super sunny while the bride and groom got ready to a windy ceremony to an intense storm rolling in during family photos and a light sprinkling for their couple shots, it was definitely a roller coaster. But these two took it in stride and made the most of their day, laughing, smiling and embracing the umbrella with style. Claire has a smile that lights up a room, and Mike sure knows how to make her smile. Like, for example, when he pulled out his cell phone during the procession to take a "bride walking down the aisle" selfie. It was a hilarious, totally unique moment - and that turned out to be one fantastic selfie. So glad to finally be sharing some favourites from this day.

6 years ago, Brian and Regina, both from Singapore, met at Western University during an exchange. Last Summer, they traveled back from Singapore to where it all began, their beloved UWO campus, to have their engagement photos taken. What an unbelievable honour it was to be chosen to photograph this very meaningful session for them. I wish them nothing but the best on their journey together!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Kim & Steve's Intimate Idlewyld Inn Wedding

I wrote when I blogged their engagement session that Kim and Steve are the funniest, coolest couple ever, and that came through on their wedding day as well! There's nothing like laughing about obscure tv show references while shooting wedding day portraits to make for a fun, lighthearted day. Their ceremony at St-Justin's Parish was perfectly intimate and made even more sweet by their adorable daughter Hannah who inserted herself between them on the altar, making for the cutest ceremony photos ever. We headed to the charming and lovely Idlewyld Inn for their reception and took photos on their perfectly manicured grounds. It was a beautiful, happy day that I was honoured to capture. I have been excited to blog these for so long! Booking for this year's beach minis goes out to the advance notice list tomorrow morning, so today felt like the perfect day to reminisce about these glorious, sun-soaked beach sessions. I absolutely love photographing families and couples on the beach. There's nothing like the setting sun glistening on the water to create the most magical background, and of course the waves just beg to be played and splashed in, so it's the perfect spot to photograph some fun, candid interactions. London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Elissa & Evan's Port Stanley Beach Engagement

Elissa and Evan's gorgeous sunset engagement session in Port Stanley last Summer was one of my favourites ever. There were storm warnings and it rained on and off all day, but the sky cleared just as we started shooting and golden hour came through in all its glory. We walked around Port Stanley a bit and stopped to take sun-soaked photos in some of my favourite spots before heading to the water for some pretty epic beach engagement photos, if I may say so myself. Elissa and Evan were totally game to get in the water, and we had so much fun shooting in the waves with the most beautiful sunset behind them. These two are simply adorable, and I'm so thrilled to finally be sharing the images from this memorable session on the blog today.

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Beth & Shane's St-Thomas Engagement Session

I met up with Beth and Shane at Pinafore Park in St-Thomas, where we started their engagement session in the woods with their little guy Carter before heading off just the two of them. Our next stop was Hawk Cliff Woods - breathtakingly beautiful and the perfect setting with that golden hour sunlight glistening over Lake Erie. We finished our shoot in a picturesque hay field, where Beth and Shane cozied up in the back of their pickup truck as the sun continued to set. One final spontaneous stop on the side of the road produced one of my favourite shots of their session, with Beth and Shane literally walking into the sunset. An all around beautiful session that I'm so happy to be sharing favourites from today!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Rojin & Omar's UWO Great Hall Wedding

I absolutely loved this wedding. Rojin and Omar celebrated their wedding at the UWO Great Hall on a beautiful sunny day last Summer and I had the honour of capturing their day full of beautiful, meaningful traditions. Photographing a Persian wedding was a first for me, and I was so excited to see the ceremony spread and traditional knife dance. Every single part of their wedding day was filled with life and love and laughter. From Rojin's mother greeting her with confetti at their garden ceremony to the lively dancing to the amazing sparkler exit. As I often do (when possible), I snuck them out for a few minutes at sunset and, while we captured many beautiful portraits before their ceremony, that soft evening light just can't be beat. I'm so happy to be sharing this gorgeous UWO campus wedding on the blog today. Here are some favourites from a vibrant day full of sweet moments.
