I still remember meeting this sweet couple for the very first time. We had such a blast shooting their Western Fair engagement session, and I have such fond memories from their beautiful wedding. Fast forward to Big Brother Oliver’s newborn lifestyle session, and now baby Simon’s, which I am sharing today. I’ve since seen them again for a mini session, and it always makes my heart so happy to have them in front of my lens. Here are some favourites from their cozy in-home session!
In-home newborn lifestyle sessions that involve siblings are so much fun. There are inevitably times throughout the session when baby needs to feed or be changed, and while I do photograph a lot of these in-between moments, it’s also nice to give baby a little space sometimes. It’s in these moments that I make friends with big brothers and sisters who are usually thrilled to show me their bedroom and all of their favourite toys. This leads to bed jumping (sorry, parents!), book reading, dinosaur playing and play kitchen feasting, to name a few. It also allows me to document older siblings in their element, being silly, thoughtful, and doing the stuff they like to do. This in-home lifestyle session allowed for lots of time with baby Asher’s older brother in addition to all of the newborn snuggles. Here are some favourites!
I loved meeting and photographing sweet baby Nate. I had the pleasure of meeting his lovely family for their maternity/family session, and got to see them all again a little while after this shoot for a fun family beach session. I’m sharing another sweet newborn lifestyle session on the blog today. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Baby Nathan and his parents again since this session, and it’s almost hard to believe he was ever this tiny (isn’t that always how it goes?).
