Project Ten | Nostalgia (July)

This isn't the first time I've pulled Neve's "baby box" off the top shelf of her closet. It's happened a few times, usually while putting clothes away or cleaning, where the little box catches the corner of my eye, and irresistibly calls my name. It only takes a few seconds to go through its contents. Neve's first snowy white outfit, the little knit hat she wore seconds after being born, a little newborn diaper, my hospital bracelet, cards and ultrasound pictures that all hold so many memories. Every time I go through it, I'm brought back to that moment where, after a gruelling 30+ hour labour, she was born and placed in my arms. "It's a girl!" How was this 3 years ago already? As Neve inches closer and closer to officially turning 3, I thought it would be fun to show her the box, let her explore the contents, ask questions, and marvel at how tiny she used to be. She was especially fascinated by the ultrasound photos, asking me to point out her little body parts on the black and white printouts.

I can't believe my precious girl is turning 3. It was such a special experience to watch her discover this special little box. Here are a few photos. (Click on the link at the bottom of this post to follow the blog circle!)
